Camera angles and shots in the film

We have now completed our Media film and should be uploaded to YouTube once we are back at school after the holidays.

Since this is a music video, it will contain no dialogue from the actual characters in the film, so we have to portray emotions etc through the use of the camera angles and facial expressions. For this we thought it would be suitable to use a lot of close-ups/ECU. This helped us enormously in the process of keeping to the narrative of the lyrics. We have a vary of slow and fast cuts, which match the pace and the jumps in the song. The most useful ones were when we had Jordy (our actor) crying in the graveyard, this helped to portray the sorrow in the scene, which is supposed to be a very powerful one considering he is visiting the grave of his dead girlfriend. There is also a variation of camera movement, such as pans around the characters and also in establishing shots, which set the location. There are 3 establishing shots int he film; the park, the graveyard and the train bridge, all of which portray the location fairly well.
