Digipak

After the completion of the music video, we were instructed to make a Digipak. We did some research into different types of digipaks, such as the various sizes and what they include etc. We will use these to create our own one for the album "Empty Days and Sleepless Nights" by Defeater, the record in which our chosen song "I Don't Mind" is from. We will be creating our own album cover and the different sections in the video using screencaps from the music video. We will also be going out to take photos especially for it. The pictures will represent different places in the video, such as the train tracks and graveyards. These will not just apply to our one song, but to the whole album as well, seeing as it is a concept album. So therefore we need to make sure we are carefully choosing what is going into the digipak.

Digipaks are essentially a case in which a CD comes in. They usually contain different little things such as lyric books, mini posters and other things that accompany a CD. The fold out in book style and usually contain pockets etc and in some cases, even extra CD holders. To the right is an example of a basic Digipak. It is for Enter Shikari's "Live from Planet Earth" CD/DVD. This is the basic template for most Digipaks, made from cardboard instead of plastic.
